Color Guard + Indoor Winter Guard
Did you know that Council Rock South's Color Guard/Winter Guard is a part of our Marching Band? Color Guard is a combination of the use of flags, sabers, mock rifles, and other equipment, as well as dance and other interpretive movement. Winter color guards can be found in high schools, middle schools, universities, and other independent organizations, some of which are related to drum corps. That's right, you too would be performing at all football games, competitions, and band performances. Council Rock South hosts an outdoor color guard during the fall marching band season and indoor winter guard teams which runs from December to April. Our guards radiate school spirit and it shows in the various awards we have won over the years from US Bands and Mid-Atlantic Indoor Network (MAIN). They have even also competed at WGI National Color Guard Competition in Dayton, Ohio. If you love to dance and perform then we invite you to join in the fun.
